Gods of Legon

Animax, The More Powerful God of Legon

Gods of Alignment, Good and Evil in the Godplane, Neutral Trying to Rise Again.

For a few centuries a hidden war has been raging between the followers of Animax and the followers of Finster. Most people believe that Animax is the creator and now care taker to the world of Legon. They would only be partially correct. The world was created to be a utopia of balance. Generally speaking, good and evil, light and dark. Eons ago, evil left this world for reasons unknown and left only Animax. But new information is taking light. Things that were once hidden and never spoke of, are now being whispered through out the realm. Something about an Iron Wench.

ALL THINGS LIGHT – ANIMAX

To the known realm there has been only one God and that is Animax, until recently. Dating back hundreds of years, Animax has a foothold in every large town and city with temples and statues. Priests, clerics and monks alike have dedicated their life to this god. They help communities, Kingdoms and people all over.

He grants worthy people with his “Tears of Animax” that allows them to heal wounds, turn undead and other “magical” feats*. The level of power usually can be recognized by the class of the NPC.

  • Priest / Priestess – Only a handful of people are blessed with the full power of Animax. These people almost always dwell in or around temples and do not travel much. They try and live in areas that will need them the most (large cities, etc).
  • Monks – Typically a non combative person, but they possess about half the power of a priest or priestess.
  • Clerics – Most of them get about half the power, and limited magical abilities. They are the ones that usually adventure and accompany parties.
  • Druid – Have very little power but still follow the guidance of Animax and the Priests and Priestess’s. They are the more in between types that do a lot around temples but also accompany parties.

THE DARK CLERIC – FINSTER

Legons Evil God FinsterThe last 30 years have been the most chaotic for Animax and his followers. An old god has been resurfacing, and his name is Finster. His followers talk of suppression and banishment… and a need for revenge. They are very driven people with a purpose in life that is dangerous for the people of Legon.

The legends and writings of Finster are split and contradictory. The great cleric who adventured the land hundreds of years ago has been painted as a ruthless murderer who thought of nothing but power. While others have him as a man seeking power while assisting the people and the land he was helping settle. The truth is somewhere inbetween.

Finster’s worldly connection and abode is called “The Hall of Whispers.” It is a great complex where a large amount of his followers dwell. It’s power is continued by Finster himself, his followers and the bones of his long dead body. By keeping his power in a small area and protected he can continue to grow and expand little by little.

Because Finster has not ascended, he is not as powerful as Animax. His powers can be erratic. He blesses very few of his followers with the “Whispers of Fire.” It is the same as “Tears of Animax” except they can inflict both healing and pain on the subject. Every follower of the Dark Cleric has his symbol tattooed or carved into their body. It is the only way the chosen few who are granted his power can HEAL. Pain and damage, that can be freely given.

  • Priest / Priestess – Most of them have about half the power of a Priest / Priestess of Animax. But the ability to turn the healing into pain makes them dangerous and in many ways more powerful. The most powerful Priestess Velencia (This is her NPC page).
  • Shade – In comparison, shades have the same powers as a Cleric, but can be transformed for un-healing if the player wants. They normally do not travel outside of a compound or safe place.
  • Vizier – Have very little power but follow the ways of Finster and his cult. They are found in compounds but mostly aiding Shades, Viziers and Invokers.
  • Invokers – Are very rare but usually one Finster compound of decent size has one. They can call upon the creatures of the Underearth and have limited powers like the Shades. High level Invokers can be extremely dangerous.

Legends and prophecies talk of a champion that he will choose to help protect Finster when he ascends. Some say his first attempted failed due in large part because the Champion was not present. Present day, Chance Axion has been granted this immense amount of power that affords him extra strength, great healing power, great pain delivery, speed and other abilities.

A New Power Rises Across The Evershimmer

Imryllion is her name, but is nicknamed, the Iron Wench. Animax is the God of good, Finster filled the void of Evil in the godplane. Imryllion is the Goddess of Neutrality. A complicated history that has yet to be revealed, completely.
