In Depth Information On Witches

Let’s Talk About Witches, How they are in Legon and Some Differences

Witches of Legon Some Fun DetailsMany times I refer to the “3 Witches of Camerondale” as examples. You can jump to their page for more information.

The Witches circle is known as the Ethereal Witches. Each witch is dedicated to the direction and element of their calling. Black = Earth, White = Wind, Red = Fire, Blue = Water. Each witch has their own powers and potion and balm creation. The circle has some great benefits, they live much longer than most by 3 times. They also have been blessed with higher charisma’s and extra statistics. They each have a wonderful aura about them.

To keep food on the table they have anti-aging potions, and perform small rituals for people including minor healing, agricultural help, finding lost people / things and minor fortune telling. Many people do not trust them, but there are enough interest so they have money.

The Black witch is usually the leader of the Cult, the strongest of the 4 witches. The Black (Earth: South: Roxi) Witch has many traits of a monk & ranger, and this witch cannot be good in nature. They are excellent in hand to hand combat, and very knowledgeable with the land & tracking. She is able to Pass without trace continually, as though a spell was continually being cast upon her. She can create potions and balms that can act as spells. Continual growth – By applying the liquid to a plant, bush or tree it will grow as though time is speeding forward. She can create a balm that will turn her skin to a tough bark, making her AC fall by 7 points. Most of her potions are related to natural things like turning rock to mud, resurrect small animals and second sight (seeing through the yes of an animal).

The Blue witch is usually the most compulsive and least powerful. Each Blue witch has an obsession, and it will fill up all her free time. That obsession will make the witch a perfectionist in that 2nd skill. This witch has to be neutral in nature. The Blue (Water:East:Roxi) Witch has many traits similar to that of a cleric. She can heal light wounds once a day without potions or spells. With her potions and balms, she can purify water, cleanse a person and heal major wounds (though this is a complicated powerful potion). She can also create a potion that allows her to breath underwater.

The Red witch is the most dangerous. A born pyromaniac, fire is her specialty. This witch is highly Immune to any fire-based attack, or fire in general. The Red (Fire: West: Aday) Witch has many traits that many would find aggressive. This witch has to be neutral in nature. The witch can light candles and torches with no potions or balms. Her potions are many times unpredictable and dangerous. Some of the potions she creates can heat metal to a melting point, fiery touch that does damage to someone she comes in contact with, and warm a certain square footage of area if they are in a colder climate. Her more dangerous potions, create an explosive fireball that does fatal damage to many living things, but it is similar to a grenade, and must be used carefully.

The White witch is the smartest of the 4. Usually well breed and very well spoken. This witch must be good in nature. She has a sort of telekinesis power that can move smaller object with a look or a flick of her hand. The White (Wind: North: none) Witch has many traits of a Monk. She can create potions or balms that create wind gusts and mini tornadoes. Her biggest power comes in her rituals where she can predict the weather up to 7-10 days and control the weather at a minor scale. These must be done during a ritual; they are not something that can be used in battle. She has a way to scry that is uncannily accurate.

What is the “full Circle” of Witches?

When all 4 points of the Call are filled by a suitable female, they will perform a week long ritual that will bind them together. When this ritual is finished, each will have stronger powers, including an ability to see through each other and have ESP between them.

There has been only 1 full witch’s coven and that was dismembered by powerful cult that has yet to be know, rumored to be Finster. There is only 2 known witches circle, one in Camerondale and another in the west filled with female Onyx Elves. Each clan is without a Northern witch. These covens are mainly quiet and they keep to themselves, never really causing any troubles. They form for their own protection and sometimes fight for the protection woman in certain situations. It is odd to see them defend a man in any case. These covens are highly feared, as their power is unmatched in many cases.

There are Dragons deep in the Maxmillion mountain range that sense a formation and will try and hunt them down. The Dragons feel that they should be the most feared things on legon, and will fight with everything they have to keep it that way. These five dragons are called the Dragons Gathering. For the Camerondale witches Alyndri has been sought out more then once to join the Coven and complete the circle but she has refused adamantly both times.

What the City Thinks… The City believes they are witches and for the most part they do not hide the fact they are. King Jeramiah was concerned at first but after the many years of good behavior he has let it go that they are good-natured. The Ethereal Witch Coven is hardly known, so the City folk don’t have a clue to the seriousness of the possibilities. These witches can form all the calling points and begin a war with the Dragons Gathering. It could spell complete destruction for Camerondale. The witches understand the importance of being “normal” in the city, and the city folk believe they just dabble in it. There are only 2 people in Camerondale that understands what the Ethereal Witches coven is and what it means to Camerondale; Ianuzzo, Camerondales head Alchemist, and Alyndri the Cleric. On the Twice Full moons on Legon, it’s a harvesting festival, and believe that the witches harvest souls for the harsh winter ahead. Of course its just a myth (and it is a myth), but the Ethereal Witches make themselves scarce for this festival, just in case of knowledgeable drunken citizens. Almost all people of Camerondale, pay no mind of these females and accept them.
